I was a bit reluctant to get out of bed and go for a ride, but of course, I headed out anyway. I misjudged the attire. I decided not to bring my jacket. It turned out to be the wrong decision. I was cold from the start till I reached the base of Keene. I don't remember the time at the summit of the descent, I made it to the base in about 30-ish minutes. I stopped once to take photos of the local trains. After reaching the base, I headed back, no stopping. The legs felt good. I was cold for the first half of the ascent. After that, I was feeling more comfortable. My jersey zipper broke on the puller / slider. The jersey stayed closed, so no worries. I'll bring it to the local tailor to have it fixed. The landmarks went fast. I had stuff to think about that made time go faster. I made it to the summit in about 1:15 hours. A respectable time. I took a few moments rest and then enjoyed the downhill. I shut it down at the top of Weston. Concentration was pretty good. I was actually eager to get out after I convinced myself not to stay home. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through most of my Gatorade, no water. Ailments were minimal. My left outer knee is sore while walking or climbing stairs. I felt no discomfort while on the bike. Other notes, there were some dogs at the base of Keene that chased me as I was making my way back up the mountain. I think I got it on video. There was a couple at the Loop Monument. There was a man hiking up the road with two mules. A rarity.
