Today was a cold day. I debated on going for a ride, in the end I decided to go for it. I decided on doing the Keene ride. I was about to do the Tour de Teh (R) ride. But decided against it. I wore 3 layers, arms, legs, head, neck, gloves, but no booties. I wore my new Large Jersey and it felt great! I will most definitely keep these and use them for as long as I can. The wind was coming from the north, and it was strong. When I got out, my legs felt heavy. I was discourged, but decided to stick with the plan. The headwind made it discouraging to get to the top of the climb, and the beginning of the descent. I think it took me near 11 minutes or so. I cruised it, because I knew I didn't have the legs today. The return trip was good. I had good concentration and balance. I did good tempo, but kept it well within my limits. I can't remember if my back was getting sore, but if it was, I don't think it was anything major. The bike worked great today, it was nice and quiet. The shifting was flawless. GPS was good. Camera, as well. Tail light ran out of batteries. No clue when that happened. I didn't charge it for the last 2 rides I think. So, no surprise there. Peggy's gifts are getting here next week. One of which is going to be the handlebar tape. I'm going to take that opportunity to reconfigure the break levers. I want to put it in a more upright position and angle the handlebar to match the slope of the fork. The new water bottle cages are working great, and I'm hoping the adapter that Peggy bought will lower it an inch or two because it's a little difficult to get the bottle out of the cage, the way it is now.
