I had to put in a big ride today. The wind currents were in favor of a WS ride. The legs felt average to start. It's a bit warmer, so I'm getting acclimated. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The trek to WS was mostly moderate tempo. It was a game of patience, going into the wind. After reaching the turn-around, I headed back, no stopping. The wind was on my back, so I was more able to find the comfort zone. As planned, I went up to the Alpine forest after making it back from WS. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. So, I was always watching my 6. After reaching Arosa, I was able to relax a bit and then settle into a tempo. Another game of patience. I think I was going into a headwind at this time. After reaching the top of Arosa, I made my way around the backside and then to the summit of Banducci. I was thinking what it would be like to go to CV and cut through the farmlands. I decided against it as the GI felt a bit bloated. It had to do with the Gatorade mixure being too much. I was having to drink water for the last 40-ish minutes of the ride. That seemed to clear up the system just a bit. I headed back down the mountain from there. Descending off the Banucci Wall was a treat, as were the other downhill segments. More of the same going down OTR. I pushed over Mariposa and then back home. Shutting it down at the top of Weston. Concentration was good. I was able to find a focal point. I had some stuff to think about at the same time. Minimal gremlins today. Balance and form was good. Ailments, the left hand was going numb. I was having to shake it off every now and again. Nutrition was so so. The GI was a bit bloated. Diluting with water helped. Will have to lessen the mixture next time. Gear worked flawless. I think the battery was at 48-ish % when I got back. (I had the battery bank connected). Other notes, I saw one cyclist today on Highline as I was making my way back home.
