這次是第三次去新興的風車山,終於能從第一座風車騎到最後的第四十六個風車。
第一次去是 2015 年 5 月,沒有以騎完為目標,基本上到達第一個風車後,大隊說已經安排好午飯,夠鐘回程。
第二次是今年六月,陽光猛烈,缺水;另外加上起步點比較低,騎到接近象窩茶園的入口時,已經有點吃不消,還未進入風車山的管制道路,已經消耗了三份一體能,最終騎到第 26 號風車,相信無能力繼續下去,只好回程下山。
去了兩次也未能完成,騎行新興風車山的想法,不時在心中計劃著,希望能夠完成。這次龍哥再次組織騎行風車山,在秋冬天氣清冷的日子,當然大大增加成功騎完的機會。另外,事前亦打聽過越野路線落山的資料,大家都知我喜歡越野多點,有越野路線落山,更是正合我意了。
我們的隊伍共九人,是我三次行程中人數最少的一次,其中三位車友騎小布摺車,韓國女車友用避震車,一個公路車。但係實際騎行時,只有七人,其中騎小布的 Rocky 將腳踏留在酒店,無得踩,騎公路車的星哲因為唔舒服,也沒有踩。
為了節省體力和時間,我們乘車到茶園外起步。
正式開騎,KK 和 Franco兩位小布神人眨眼之間就在前面消失,我們都依自己的能力踩踏上去,沒有追趕他們兩個。
風車山的路線是很好的水泥爬坡車路,其中多段相爬坡路線極具挑戰性,沿途無補給,要帶夠水和食物補充。從象窩茶園到第 46 號風車,單程約 20 到 25 公里之間。因為除了主路兩傍的風車外,有些風車的位置是要從主路專誠騎一次來回的,這來回一次就是兩、三公里的上落坡。所以路線長短視乎你是否有「收集狂熱症」,要去齊全部風車。我就一半一半,有收集,也有放棄。
來風車山前,已經從車友處得知越野落山路線的大概位置,但係當日遇到幾批當地的徒步驢友,得到他們較明確的指示,節省了很多找尋的時間。比較意想不到的是兩位小布車友也跟著大隊從越野路線下山,扛足半程,也真難為他們。
落山開始的部份是好大段的石頭路,基本上都是籃、足、排大細的石頭,再落一點都差不多,只係無這樣密集,但係取代的是坑和鬆土。在眾人中,我的越野能力算是不錯,這一段路,我能騎落約三份一左右,韓國姑娘 Aileen 用避震架,也落的不錯。落山途中遇上三輛四驅車上來,我看的冷汗直冒。
中段以後,山徑中一段好路,一段爛路相間,遇到好路時,給我們希望,以為是爛路都騎完了,但係後來才知是好爛段相間,直至去到有村落的地方,這才叫做完成越野落山。
大伙等齊後,一同落山與支援車會合;KK 和 Franco 兩位小布神人,覺得剛才落山沒有騎到,不過癮,決定騎回酒店。

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
