Coos Bay OR → Crescent City CA

The plan for the day: California or bust! Objective achieved. Celebrating with a motel stay for a change.

The two most worrisome moments of the day both happened in the last couple of kilometers. First, a right-turning car cut me off (not close enough to be dangerous, but enough for it to feel improper). Soon after that, I got chased by a dog (pit bull? rottweiler?), galloping and barking menacingly. Fortunately, it was a flat road, and I was able to sprint until it gave up.

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
