Today was a bit of an unusual ride. Therre was a train wreck near Tehachapi, according to the online news. It turns out that it was on the same area that I ride, Keeen n Back. As I was descending, about 2 miles into the descent, the train wreck was off to the north side of the road. I stopped at a few locations and took some footage with my Gopro that was already recording. I pretty much cruised the rest of the downhill. Pretty much, the slowest descent in a while. As for the Ascent, I felt pretty good. I had a tailwind on the way back. Just as I got out of the door, a few hundred yards, my left shin was hurting a bit. But it went away by the time I reached the first kicker. Today was a good day as for ailments, which was pretty much none. I had some discomfort in my right shoulder for a few moments, but that's pretty much it. My right thumb is feeling good, since the soreness I had a few weeks back. My back is still sore, but it wasn't a concern on the bike. My concentration was good, but I had a few lapses, so not 100% spot on today. My balance was good, my legs were in good synch today. The tempo on the way back up was moderate, with intermittent slowing of the pace. Gear is working great, no problems there. As for the train wreck, It happened before the loop, right close to the tunnel that leads to the other side of the loop on the higher part of the mountain. There was a lot of activity on the Keene Basin, lots of paramedic, trucks and cranes.
