I started at 4pm to get out to ride was outside at 5pm getting Tri-Bike set up and ready, was heading out when I could shift my gears, toyed around with it for a bit and realize the Di2 battery was dead. It must have been in a position that the one of the shifter buttons must have been depressed while it was resting against the wall. So I was force to get the road bike ready. I was going to ride the Tri-Bike because I threw out my lower back and it is easier on my back. When I was getting ready the temps were in the upper 40's by the time the ride started it was 39. By the time I got to the main road iit was in the lower 30's, I wasn't dressed for this. I was laboring and putting out more power than I was intending, so I got into the aero position to help cut thru the wind and thick air. I decided to turn around if the temp got to 30, it did but I didn't want to be a wimp so I kept going. 12 miles the temps got below 28 and my hands were freezing and upper body cold! I get to 15 miles and my lower back started to hurt but not too bad. At 17 miles it is now hitting the low 26's. I get about 10 miles to go an my lower back felt like a knife was being stuck into my back and the temps are below 26! Finally 2.5 miles to go, I see all these flashing lights ahead, thinking it must be an accident. 2 police cars go by and I notice police cars all over the road with 2 blocking the road ahead but gaped wide enough for me to pass by and no one stopping me. I thread my way thru all the Police cars and officers no one says anything to me, they look like they were surrounding a house. I get pass all this excitement and headed home. Never seen so many police cars in town and not at the police station. Another adventure down... Be safe out there, Enjoy Your Ride!
