Today was a great day to go for a ride. The weather was nice and cool. Before the ride, I had stomach problems and I was wondering if I would be able to get out. I took a nap and used the bathroom on a few occasions. After a while, I started feeling better, so I decided to go for a ride. Right away, my legs were heavy. The winds were from the north, so the return trip was favorable. I didn't have any noticeable ailments, but my legs felt hardly average today. Could be due to my stomach problems that sort of crept in over the past day. Nevertheless, I pressed on and did modest tempo on the way back. I got out of the saddle when I noticed my tempo getting to low, or having to stretch my legs a bit. My concentration was pretty good, just having to coach myself because of the heavy legs today. I didn't have any numbness in the fingers, I had a slight pain in the right lower back that lasted about 3 minutes at the beginning of the ride. My calf muscles are feeling good. But that could also be due to the fact that I wasn't pushing the pace and today was cool. Balance was also good. My gear is holding up perfectly, no problems there. Other notes, the train derailment cleanup seems to be more active now. There were quite a few city workers next to the derailed carts.
