I did a park and ride today. That reduced the milage by about 1/2 mile or so. I forgot to start the GPS when I got out. Didn't realize till about 4 or 5 minutes into the ride. Didn't bother me much as I wasn't going for time today. The weather was windy and cool. OTR went by quick, as did Banducci. I did no less than moderate tempo to the summit. Once there, I took a look around and headed down. The trek to SS was mostly into the wind. I put it into cruise control then, made my way up the back entrance. The downhill was a welcome treat. I flew through SS as I had a generous tailwind. The wind wasn't as favorable as I would have liked it to be on the return trip. I wasn't concerned about my time. No point, given the start conditions. The last climb went well. I felt lively and was able to keep a good tempo to the summit. The remainder was recover, traffic negotiation, the downhill and push over Mariposa. My concentration felt better than last week. Some wind talkers today. Usually I get my feet sunken just a bit. I did my best to keep the morale going. At least I was able to predict the critical sections. I was coaching here and there, thinking of positive thoughts. Ailments were next to none. My right knee was a bit sore yesterday. Balance and form feels good. I adjusted the cleat position to center stance. I like it better than the nearer to center stance that I had in the previous week or two. Gear is working well. The tracking app worked flawless (as far as I can tell). Other notes, no cyclists today. The weather wasn't very inviting, so no surprise there.
Other notes. I enjoyed listening to my Walkman today. It helped the mileage go by.
