Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It rained and snowed over night, so the plan was to ride indoors. The body felt good enough to put it to the test with the Watopia Mountain Loop. A few things were being tested. My new shorts, the new Garmin Forerunner 55 watch and saddle position, and the right groin/glute. I had to adjust the saddle position. I set it higher and also the angle. It was pointing a bit upwards, so I lowered the angle until it felt right. I think that was the problem from the previous ride. The nose was too high, causing discomfort. The Garmin Forerunner 55 worked, but with a hitch in the beginning. The reading was way off. After completing the climbs, I started to fiddle with it. I set the broadcast heartrate setting to on and the virtual run on. For some reason, this seemed to fix the problem. Once I did that, the HR reading was more accurate. Will have to put it to the test in the next few rides (in or out-doors). The ride went as planned. I was preoccupied making adjustments in the first 10 minutes. I finally settled in after reaching the end of the bridge going into the climb. I kept the tempo between 2 and 3 W/kg. Higher out of the saddle and less while in the saddle. I was keeping tabs on the right knee. It felt better today. Given that I was on the trainer makes for pretty good confirmation. The miles went quick because I was constantly monitoring the metrics, trying to figure out what was going wrong with the Garmin watch. The reading was way low. As mentioned, I was able to fiddle with the settings that eventually led to a more accurate reading. My halo replays were going. I was about a minute behind at the summit. I didn't bother checking my place when I reached the summit. I decided to go for the bonus climb. I kept the tempo steady. I was monitoring my right knee. It was cooperating. After making it to the summit, I headed back down the mountain and into town. I joined a pace partner group for a few moments. After crossing the finish, I shut it down till the HR reached 112 BPM. Concentration was good. I had a bunch of things to keep me occupied. The time went quick. Ailments, some right hand numbness while out of the saddle. Some knee soreness, that lingered here and there, but didn't escalate. I was changing positions in and out of the saddle. That seemed to help. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Balance and form felt pretty good. I think the cleat position feels better. More confirmation needed on that. Gear worked flawless, other than the watch not reading properly till the last 20 minutes. Other notes, I didn't bother checking the number of riders, likely in the thousands.
