Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was the first true double of the season. The weather couldn't have been better. Nice and cool, in the upper 70's. Winds from the North West. I wore the standard kit + 1 base layer + arm coolers. I knew exactly what I wanted to do today. It was just a matter of how my legs felt. They felt lively from the start. I was sufficiently warmed up by the time I reached the end of OTR. I did no less than moderate tempo on the way out to WS. Stretching and out of the saddle often. I stopped to take 1 photo near the turn around point. Once there, I turned around and headed back. My legs felt good. But the headwind was such that I didn't want to red line it. After reaching Banducci, my legs were more than warmed up. It didn't take much to get into climbing mode. I used my 32T towards the top of the wall. The remainder was no less than moderate tempo. I took a couple minutes break at the summit, then headed to SS. The downhill was a welcome reprieve. I continued the moderate tempo quota all the way to SS. Increasing the tempo here and there. The back entrance went fast. Again, having fun on the downhill. On my way back, I took a quick bio break at one of the porta potties in the farm fields. As I was making my way to the last climb, I was trying to gauge my energy levels. In particular, when I should feed. I decided to wait till I reached the last summit. I brought an extra bottle of Cytomax, so I had all the provisions I needed. After summiting, I took a couple minutes break, ate my power bar and headed back. The return was mostly traffic mitigation, fun and games, and the push over Mariposa. My concentration was good today. My morale was positive. I was able to follow trails of thoughts without much lapses in between. Ailments were next to none. Some calf soreness, maybe lower back soreness, and the usual fatigue of the effort. Balance and form felt good. Gear is working well. No issues. Other notes, no other cyclists today!
