It’s a beautiful day! In the 50’s, great for getting out for a ride. The wind was from the North West. I chose to do a recovery ride instead of heading to the high mountains. So, I did the Buffalo Run. The legs felt ok to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The volcano climb was aided by a tailwind, so I was able to settle into a nice comfortable tempo while alternating in and out of the saddle effort. After making it to the summit, I made the quick loop around the neighborhood got back to Highline and then to OTR for the return. OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down to the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. The morale felt good. I’m glad I took it easy today. The body and mind needed it. Balance and form were good. Ailments were minimal. The knees felt good. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink without hunger signs. Gear worked flawless. Other notes no cyclists today. There was some utility construction at the top of Highline. It did not delay my ride as I made a right turn before the construction zone.
