It’s a bit cloudy, in the upper 40’s, winds from the North West. A good day to head out to Banducci. I decided to go to the summit of Banducci and add the Buffalo run. The legs felt ok to start. They needed to get warmed up. Didn’t take much time till they started to feel lively. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The legs were sufficiently warmed up by then. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, so I was watching my 6 the whole time. More of the same for the remainder of the climb. The body was responding well. After making it to the summit, I pulled over to recover, let traffic by, hydrate and then head back down the mountain. There was minimal traffic as I was descending. Descending off the Banducci Wall was mostly safe. From there, I headed up to the Buffalo run. Nothing to mention, other than I felt good. The legs were there. After making it back to Highline, I made my way up and to OTR for the return. OTR was mostly fun and games. I caught up to two motorcyclists. They were riding at a casual pace. I pushed over Mariposa and then shut it down after making it to the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. Minimal lapses. Some hints of gremlins here and there. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I drank most of my sport drink. Gear worked flawlessly. Ailments were minimal. Perhaps a bit of hand soreness, the sit bones were ok, not much else to mention. Other notes, no cyclists or runners today. I’ll have to decide where to go on the weekend, contingent on the weather.
