Today's weather was great! Nice and cool. I wore 1 base layer, arms and knees (just in case to keep them from getting sore). Out of the door, my legs were a bit heavy. It remained that way till I reached OTR. The winds weren't ideal for a high tempo ride on the outbound. Somewhat of a cross-tail wind. I did good tempo for the 1st mile (climb). Then brought it down to moderate tempo. I decided to leave some energy for the return trip instead of hammering all the way out. My ailments were minimal, no real soreness in the body. Concentration was real good. Balance wasn't that great today. I just didn't get that sense of being centered. I was leaning to one side. But on the return trip, I was able to focus on my balance and managed to bring it into the preferred sensation. Gear is working great. I had one hiccup. Shortly after crossing OTR, the rear reaileur stopped working. I got off my bike to take a look, and the cable had come undone. I pushed it back in and all worked well from that point. Today was a good average ride. No heroics, but no slacking either.
