Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

They changed the forcast for today from rain to cloudy. It was sufficient to get out for a ride. This is the second ride with my new GPS, so I was giving it a test. The weather was a bit on the cold side, so I wore the standard winter kit. I probably could have done without my long finger gloves and helmet cover. The legs felt pretty good to start, I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall climb had some traffic mitigation, but not much. I was near max over the top, but I was saving matches for later. The remainder of the climb was mostly moderate. I made it to the summit in average time. After reaching the summit, I took a few moments to recover. I let traffic by before heading down the mountain. I had to pull over on a turnout to let traffic by on one occasion. From there, it was nonstop descending. The trek through the farmlands was the usual chore, nothing special about it. The wind direction on the GPS was very accurate. I made it to Boss Hogs in about 1:05-ish hours. The last climb was steady pacing. It started to hail tiny pellets as I was climbing. I was hoping it wouldn’t turn into rain, and it didn’t. I decided to get home ASAP, so no stopping for feeding. Route 202 had some traffic mitigation, but I made it safely to OTR. The descent off OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and made my way back up Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I was constantly looking at the metrics on the GPS. I was trying to figure out what metrics I would like to see, since I can configure it to my liking. Balance and form felt good. Ailments were minimal. Some minor hand numbness and hints of right knee soreness on the last half of the ride. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink, no water or feeding. Gear held up great. The new GPS is a treat. It has more metrics than I know what to do with. I’ll make my final selection of the screens over the next few months use. Other notes, no cyclists out today.
