It's a great day to get out! The weather was on the cold side, but sunny skies. The wind was favorable, from the North West. Ideal for Tour de Teh (R) route. I wore arms, knees, head cap, jacket and thick base layer. That held me over. I brought my face mask just in case, but didn't need to use it. The legs felt average to start. Perhaps a tad heavy to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had minimal traffic mitigation, so I was better able to concentrate. I think there was a bit more traffic to the summit, so I was constantly watching my 6. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover. I made it there in average time. About 41 minutes. The downhill was enjoyable. No traffic from behind, so I was able to let the wheels roll. The trek through the farmlands went quick. I made it to Boss Hogs in about 1:03 hours. So, I gave up about 2 minutes since the summit. From there, I made my way to the last climb. The last climb felt good. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts. I kept my tempo going over the top, no heroics. I decided not to feed after making it to the summit, so I made my way to Route 202. Route 202 had no traffic, so I was able to relax a bit. The descent off OTR was mostly fun and games, good for the morale. I pushed over Mariposa and the usual dig to the top of Weston, where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. Perhaps a hint of impatience here and there. Minimal lapses in concentration. No gremlins to speak of. The morale was good and I had a few things to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just some mild hand numbness. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink, no water or feeding. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, I saw one cyclist as I was making my way through the farmlands. He was on a mountain bike riding on the dirt shoulder.
