Started at 6:10 am for my April R12 ride with Paul F. Very cool temp for April in Phx, so the cycling temps were awesome. We encountered some wind as is to be expected on this ride, yet nothing really strong. The views were fantastic along this route. We saw a road runner early on the ride and many blue herons and snowy egrets in the various water gatherings. On the return leg we stopped at the AJ's Coop where they were setup for the kid's Easter Egg roll. We grabbed a couple sodas and chips and sat out front as other parents came in. As expected there were very few cars. The Sun Valley Parkway was under construction from around mile 20 - 24 as they were removing the old pavement and laying brand new pavement, in both directions. We were able to ride on the closed of, new pavement lane, both ways. As usual Paul was very strong and did most of the pulling on the return leg up Sun Valley Parkway.
