The weather is nice and cool with sunny skies, winds from the North West. The legs felt pretty good to start. I'd say I'm fully recovered from the weekend big ride. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had minimal traffic mitigation. I was able to concentrate without having to worry too much about traffic. The Arosa climb went quick. I settled into a good tempo and held it to the summit. Going deeper with every speed bump and to the summit. I made my way around the backside, while having fun on the descents. After making it to the summit of Banducci, I took a few moments to recover. There wasn't any traffic, so I headed back down the mountain without further delay. There were two or three cars behind as I was nearing the flatter segment. I let them by and carried on with business. I stopped once more on Arosa to let traffic by and then made my way down the Banducci Wall. The wind was mostly steady. I feathered the brakes, nonetheless. From there, I headed to the top of Highline and then around the local neighborhood. I hopped back o n Highline for the return. Descending off OTR was fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down after the dig to the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. I had minimal lapses. The morale was good. I had a few things to think about and was in the zone most of the time. Balance and form was real good. I've dialed in my position. I feel solid on the saddle and the cleat position feels good. Nutrition was good. I fed half a banana, some grapes, and a Clif Bar before departing. That held me over plenty. I forgot to bring a Clif Bar, but I didn't worry. I had my sport drink to hold me over till I got back home. Ailments were minimal. The usual hand soreness. I have slight soreness in the carpal bones at the moment. Gear worked flawlessly. I have to bleed the right brake as it is somewhat mushy. Other notes, no cyclists today.
