Turns out when you're no longer working, you can do loops like this one in the OTHER direction. The "preferred" direction has to do with traffic -- until now, it's been late afternoon and you want to avoid northbound traffic on that eastern side of the loop, so you go south there. Most of the western side is either protected bike lanes or paved trails, so traffic is not a problem. But wait! ORG can ride whenever he wants! It was actually quite challenging, remembering where to turn, how to deal with some tricky spots in reverse... even made a wrong turn -- turned too early -- at 24! Doh! Also found a pretty good way to get from Viers Mill to Arctic without having to ride on Viers Mill OR Aspen Hill ( Grenoble -> iris -> Danet Pl ). Legs were ... ok, not great. Toooo much time elapsed since last ride (soooo much rain). Contact points all good. Not a hot day, so that helped. Really nice to be out and nice to not be completely bored with this loop for a change.
