Grassy Lake campground to Canyon Campground, Yellowstone Park, Wyoming Summer began on with 3 inches of snow in Yellowstone. The store is flurries turned into a full on snowstorm by the end of the day. I chose to go to Yellowstone off route Sinz. I was so close. I missed Yellowstone on my Cross Country bike ride in May 6 years ago because of snow. In spite of the weather, it was actually a pretty pleasant day with waterproof gloves, socks, and full on rain gear. Scenery was great colors were vibrant grizzlies and bison showed themselves. I was grateful for the end of the day, hot shower, and laundryto get everything dry and clean. I have yet to set up my tent. It’s still snowing. It looks like I’ll be winter camping in June.
