I was able to get up on time. The temperature is around 70 something. Winds were slightly turbulent, but mostly from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. The Arosa climb went as usual. I was a bit impatient to start, but once I settled in, things went quick. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts to keep the legs as fresh as possible. I let the difficulty come to me till I reached the top. I was near max when I got there. I made my way around the backside. I had fun on the descents. From there, I made my way to the Banducci Summit. I forgot to check the time, but the metrics show that I made it there in good time. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. There was some traffic mitigation from behind, but it was safe. Descending off the Banducci Wall was also safe. I feathered the brakes in the first half and then let go till neared the stop sign at the bottom. I made my way up Highline. I think there was a slight headwind. After making it to the top, I made my way around the backside. I hopped back onto Highline for the return and then to OTR. Descending off OTR was enjoyable. I pushed over Mariposa and then the dig to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I was a bit impatient at times, especially in places where I had to let my body acclimate and settle in. I was in the zone most the time with minimal lapses. There were no gremlins worth mentioning. Balance and form was good. Ailments, the usual right hand numbness and mild soreness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, part of a banana and some grapes before the ride. I drank all of my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. However, the mystery click persists. I've yet to determine what it is, but I suspect it is either something near the saddle or bottom bracket area. Other notes, no cyclists today. I saw a runner or two.
