It’s a bit on the warm side. I got up at 6:30-ish AM, had a breakfast and decided to take a nap. I got up around 8 something. I noticed I was getting hunger signs. So, I fed quite a bit. More than I should have. I got out and headed to the Alpine Forest as I planned. I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I felt better after reaching Arosa. The climb went pretty quick. I had my music going and the GPS announcements kept my attention going. When I was making my way around the backside, my stomach started to churn. I tried shifting from energy drink to just water. It helped a bit, but the soreness persisted. I had to make up my mind. I decided to cut the ride short. After making it to the Banducci Summit, I headed back down the mountain and then to OTR for the direct return. I was having to coach my nerves the best I could. I was close to tossing my cookies out there. Suffice it to say, made my way back home. When I got back, I threw my clothes off and slipped into some jammies. I slept for about 30 to 60 minutes in the bed. Around that time, I had to toss my cookies into the toilet. So, either I got a bug, or I ate too many sweets. After about an hour of that, I was able to rest a bit easier. I rested in bed for another 2 hours or so. I showered and am now having a modest lunch.
I will skip the usual checks. However, it was my concentration and experience that got me home in one piece.
