Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Another rainy day here... I chose to ride the map of the day, Watopia. I did the Mountain Loop. I had stuff to do, so that spurred me on. It didn't take much to get warmed up. I think it took about 10 to 12 minutes to reach the start of the climb. Enough to get the legs warmed up. Nothing special to tell about the climb. I kept the wattage betweeen 3.5 and 4 Watts/Kg. Sometimes more sometimes less, depending on the gradient and when I was in or out of the saddle. I waited for the flatter sections to sit, otherwise mostly out of the saddle. I think my form is getting better. I noticed that it's much more efficient to put push more than pull when out of the saddle. It has to do with gravity and being more efficient on the down-stroke. I was doing good time, so I kept the tempo high in the last 5 minutes. Doing 4 Watts/Kg+ in the last few minutes. I finished 5th, for that moment in time. I headed for the bonus climb afterwards. Headed downhill and back to the start finish. I was keeping the tempo higher than normal, as I was feeling good and had incentive. Concentration was good. Few lapses. Ailments, next to none. Maybe a hint of knee soreness. Mostly near the quad muscle than the knee. Balance and form feels real good. Especially on the climb, while out of the saddle. Gear is working great. Had no problems. Other notes, there were about 3500+ riders today.
