Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

We got out a bit later then planned, but not so much. The weather was nice. A bit on the hot side, but the air was somewhat cool. I wore the standard summer kit. Peggy joined me on this ride. The legs were a bit heavy to start. I made it to the top of OTR in average time. I wasn't pushing it. We regrouped at the top. The Banducci Wall had traffic mitigation and I was keeping an eye on my riding companion. We went at our own pace. The Alpine Forest went quick for me. I waited about 5 minutes for Peggy to catch up. We made our way around the backside and had fun on the downhill. I was getting some bio signs, but there was nowhere to go. So, we made our way to the Banducci Summit and took some selfies. We let some cars go by and headed back down the mountain. It was mostly safe. We parted ways at the bottom of Banducci. Peggy went home and I went to the top of Highline and the Buffalo neighborhood. I got back on Highline and then the descent off OTR. I pushed over Mariposa, put a dig over Weston and shut it down.
Concentration was good. The morale felt good. Patience was in check. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. I drank some sport drink and mostly water. Gear held up perfectly. I have to check the mountain bike for skipping gears. Other notes, saw one or two cyclists today.
