Central and Streeter in Riverside to Fontana to the Pacific Electric Railroad bike trail to Claremont to Foothill to San Gabriel River bike trail to Seal Beach south on PCH to the Santa Ana River Trail to Corona to Riverside.
Strong ride with a speed average in the low 20’s until San Gabriel trail where I had a 11-12 mph headwind all the way out.
Played with a mix of Honey Stinger Fruit Smoothie Gels and Mortal Hydration Mango electrolytes in both bottles today.
Power was good but seemed to fade by about 120 miles into the 150.
I put 2 gels and one Mortal Hydration packet per 20oz bottle.
I think I could have done 3 or even 4 per bottle to keep me at full power.
Despite having consumed 8.5 bottles of fluids & 1400 calories I was down 8 lbs on the scales by the time I got home!
Wife made me the mixed berries, coconut water, and electrolytes with ice blended into it concoction and I am drinking the entire pitcher before I go to bed in a few minutes.
No flats this time,

Body feels more like it used to back in my racing days even though I am aware I’ve got a lot of work to do to bring all areas back up to full capacity.
I feel as if this ride about renewing my life’s contract for another human powered adventurous 68 yrs.
75 miles in so far. Still on the San Gabriel trail. Stopped for a calorie upload… bit of a head wind at this point.
Something that came to me out in the middle of no where where today:

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
