We woke up to a heavy fog and by the time we got packed up the trees were raining on us. We headed off down Hiway 247 with what proved to be remarkably light traffic. Not far down the road we spotted bear #4 for the trip, a big one on a ridge about 350 metres away, it was not interested in us. A little further on we spotted a moose on the river side of the highway but it was too far away even for the camera to capture. Another 10 kms down the road 3 vultures were sitting on fence posts next to the road. We were hoping that they were not waiting for us ,thank goodness they seemed much more interested in the dead deer on the shoulder of the road. The last half of the day was spent cruising on Grid Road 637 which was a much nicer rider than the Ft Ellice trail yesterday. 5 kms out of Tantallon we thought we would give the snowmobile/quad trail on the old railroad bed a try and it took us all the way into Tantallon with only one short unrideable section. We appear to have the campground to ourselves, no loud parties tonight!👍
