The kitty that showed up last evening stayed around most of the night, at one point curling up in the tent vestibule. But, we bade the kitty goodbye this morning and headed south out of Tantallon on the Bear Creek road. We turned east and followed the Qu’Appelle to Fort Esperance, stopping at a number of historic sites along the way. After lunch in the shade we climbed out of the valley, made our way around the Rocanville potash mine and with a short stop for a cold drink in St Lazare we headed to Binscarth Park and Pool. The heavy gravel we have experienced the last few days continued, except for a stretch of about 5kms east of the mine. I have to say, the gravel conditions on this trip have been the toughest of any trip so far. Hopefully they improve.
