Fantastic accommodation last night which is never good for an early start as one doesn't really want to leave. Just 2km into town and then through the border control..a couple more stamps and into Croatia.
A few lumps and bumps with wee hills initially and then a great ride in the sun through flat farmland adjacent to the Sava River (which I ended up getting a punt across at one point..similar to the Tuapeka punt on the Clutha)
Obviously all flood plains and looks fairly productive and economically seems to be doing better than Bosnia
Into Zagreb and refuelled with a beer and pork ribs..had a small ride through the city...seems quiet nice with lots of green space and several modern looking buildings..no famous monuments spotted tho..and then decided to push on to take some km's out of the day tomorrow. My GPS lady said it wasn't that far to Samodor...wrong???..so ended up arriving in the dark..thank goodness for my reflective road worker vest I found on the side of the road several days back 😀
