One great thing about tenting/camping is that it usually means an earlier start and today was that however a bit of touristering around the old town of Verona and visits to the 'Arena' dating from 30 AD, apparently the best preserved Roman amphitheater (and still used today...altho not by the Romans) and Juliet's house (supposedly the house that inspired Shakespeare to write his best seller meant that biking didn't begin in earnest until much later.
Great day tho through beautiful countryside with the hills/mountains getting very close.
Passed by Lago (Lake) Garda..Italy's largest..then decided to stop for the night at Lago d'Iseo...both very scenic and reminiscent of a couple in Central Otago.
Getting close to the end now with only a couple of days to go before meeting the boys in Biasca, Switzerland but stoked to have riden over 8000 km's now with my lifetime biggest week ever (last 7 days) at over 900kms..hopefully I'll be fit enough to keep up 😁
