With getting in late last night I had no goodies for breakfast so treated myself to bacon and eggs at the local hotel and then popped up and saw the old castle on the hill. In a sad state of disrepair alas but neat old ruins.
Clandestine entry into Slovenia..so secret in fact I didn't know that it had happened 😳 ..no signs or border crossings as both countries are part of the Schengen Zone.
Headwind day unfortunately which made things a bit tough but great countryside and quieter roads. Took the option of a fairly decent climb to get away from the wind but alas I got both..still beautiful forested slopes alongside a mountain stream then good downhill to finish alongside the Sava as it flows through Ljubljana.
Slovenia certain has some wonderful scenery and that's without seeing the mountains which are stunning I am told.
The city is lively and things here more European than its southern Balkan cousins...This is one country to come back and visit properly
