It feels a bit on the warm side, perhaps a bit of humidity as well. The winds were from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. The new jersey feels good. The legs felt ok to start. I felt a bit sluggish on the first mile up OTR. It felt more like heat exhaustion. I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. I wasn't expecting as much, to my surprise. The Banducci Wall had minimal traffic mitigation, so it was safe. The Alpine Forest climb felt pretty good. Perhaps a hint of exhaustion, though. the joints and muscles were in check. The morale felt better as I approached and passed the speed bumps. I was near max going over the top. Once there, I took a few moments to recover. Then I made my way around the backside. The downhill was fun. I made my way to the summit of Banducci. I took a few moments to recover, let traffic by and then headed down the mountain. There was minimal traffic mitigation, so the descent was safe. Descending off the Banducci Wall was the same. It was safe, the wind was mild and traffic was minimal. From there, I headed to the top of Highline and around the Buffalo neighborhood. I hopped back on Highline for the return and then onto OTR for the descent. The descent was relaxing and I was able to recover. I pushed over Mariposa and then to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I was a bit impatient in places, but I held it together and did my best to remain focused. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. The usual hand soreness. My right knee felt ok. It sore the other day but got better. The same with my left hand. It seems to be doing much better. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. I drank most of my sport drink some water. Gear worked flawlessly. There's still some mystery clicks, but its much more diminished now. Other notes, I saw one familiar walker, no cyclsits.
