I had lab in the morning, so I got out about 30 minutes later than usual. Fortunately, the weather wasn't too hot. It was probably around 75 to 80 degrees when I got out. Winds from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. I'm still waiting for my new socks. The legs felt ok to start. They felt better after about 20 minutes of riding. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. I felt better when I reached the Arosa climb. I gave a few minutes to let the legs settle in. The landmarks went quick. After reaching the speed bumps, I was nearing maximum. I timed it so that I was near max going over the top. I gave my body a few moment to recover and then made my way around the backside. I had fun on the downhill. I reached 41 MPH. From there, it was to the top of Banducci. I took a few moments to recover and let traffic by. Then I headed down the mountain. There was no traffic from behind until I reached the false flat leading to the Banducci Wall. The Banducci Wall descent felt good. I was able to let the brakes go thanks to the non-turbulent wind condition. After making it to the base, I headed up Highline and then around the Buffalo neighborhood. I hopped on Highline for the return. The descent off OTR was fun and somewhat therapeutic. I pushed over Mariposa and the the dig to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I was in the zone most of the time. I kept my patience in check. I had stuff to think about making time pass with suffering managed. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. The joints and muscles felt good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and some grapes for breakfast. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. The mystery clicks persist while in and out of the saddle. I'm guessing I will have to clean out the front mech and re-seat the seat post. Other notes, I saw 4 or 5 cyclists today and a familiar walker.
