Great day for a ride! I was thinking about going to SS, but decided on a different route. I went to the Alpine Forest then the Tour de Teh (R) route. The legs felt good from the start. I had some stuff to think about, so my mind was occupied most of the time. It made the miles go by quick. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. I made my way up Banducci and then to the Alpine Forest. The climb went well. I was within my limits. Not too much red-lining it. After reaching the summit of Banducci, I took a few moments rest, and then headed downhill. Practicing my tuck. The wind was somewhat turbulent, so holding my line was a bit more difficult than usual. Before I headed back on Pelliser, I took a quick look at the road construction. Looks like they haven't progressed since the last time I went to SS. The return trip was mostly cross tail, or a tailwind. The last climb went quick. I was doing good tempo most of the way with a push over the top. Nothing heroic. I was getting hungry at this point, but I had enough sport drinks to last the remainder of the trip. While on the false flat, I practicing riding no-handed. It went well, but a slight lean to one side. From there, it was down Route 202 with traffic mitigation. Through OTR and the rest. Concentration was good. Given that i had stuff to think about, the morale felt good. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some right hand numbness. Gear worked great. The GoPro lasted the entire trip, on one battery. I turned off the wireless option, perhaps that helped. I forgot to start the charity app, so no charity miles today. Other notes. I saw one cyclist today.
