Great day for a ride. In the low 60's, winds from the North West. A great day to go to Keene. I wore the standard cool kit. But decided to remove my knee warmers before the ride started. The legs were a bit heavy to start, but got better as the ride progressed. I made it to the top of the descent in good time. I cruised the downhill, putting in digs on the risers. I was getting warm when I reached the base so, after turning around, I stopped at the Chavez center to remove my arm warmers. I tucked them in my extra bag with a Velcro strap. Worked great. I'm now at 140 lbs. I'm more muscular. The legs feel a bit different. They feel more responsive, yet I think there's more pain signals from them. I made my up the climb as I normally do. The landmarks went real quick. I was thinking about the GranFondo. Wondering how far could I push it. I keep on telling myself that once the climb is over, the ride is over. So, no point in saving any matches. Just dump everything on the last climb. More planning on that later. I was also estimating my ETA's. I'm getting good at it, and it will definitely come in handy. Concentration was good. Few lapses, no gremlins. Ailments, right hand numbness. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked flawless. The GoPro seems to be holding an additional 10 to 15% charge with the wifi option turned off. Other notes, a few people at the Loop Monument.
Edit: After looking at the metrics. Looks like the HR monitor is still not working properly. Will have to shop for a replacement.
