I got sick last night. Some sort of stomach bug. I was up most of the night. I woke up feeling better, but still a bit nauseous. I waited till about 2pm to decide what to do. I decided to ride indoors. The Innsbruck turned out to be the best map in this situation. I chose the mountain loop, so it had a 26-ish minute climb. Just enough to get in a good workout, but not put my body in any uneeded stress. I got my gear setup. I put the trainer tire on and then started. The legs were a bit heavy to start, but felt better after about 7 or 8 minutes of warming up. I started the climb modest. And then settled into a good pace. The body allowed me to push a bit, so that's what I did. It was a bit unusual, I think I was getting better wattage readings this time. I was doing consisten 3-4 watts/kg, and I weigh 139 now. The climb lingered somewhat, but wasn't so bad. To my surprise, as I was about 4 or 5 minutes to the summit, it showed that I was going to 30 day PR. I kept the power down, it definitely motivated me. I made it to the summit in about 26 minutes, setting a 30 day PR. From there, it was about 2 watts/kg steady tempo on the downhill. Then I headed into town to cooldown. Other notes, I forgot to check the number of riders on this map, today.
Other notes, I got 18th on the climb. Looking at the video, it shows over 770 riders at the start. But there appeared to be elite riders posting sub 20 minute climbs.
