Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

They predicted rain today. I decided to ride indoors. It took a bit more time to get my gear up and running as I needed to install the trainer tire. Other than that, no issues. I got my kit on and hopped on the trainer. AI chose the mountain route, so I had about 10 minutes of warmup time. Yesterday, I adjust the cleats. To a more forward position. It felt good. The climb went as it usually does. It took a while for my concentration to settle in. One of the limiting factors was just the wiping of the sweat. I wish I had something to mitigate that, but none-the-less, I had to sit up every so often. I was putting in over 3.5 Watts/kg while out of the saddle, and dropped to about 2.5ish Watt/kg. I was trying to keep my attention focused. Thinking about the numbers and familiar landmarks. After reaching the tunnel, I was able to do the ETA count-down. It takes about 4 to 5 minutes when out of the tunnel to reach the summit. I was near my 30 day PR, so I knew I was on good time. I don't think there were any pros today as no one posted times below 20 minutes. For the last 2 minutes, I was pushing near 4 Watts/kg. and maybe just a hint more in the last 20 to 30 seconds. I think I got about 5th place. From there, it was the bonus climb. The legs were a bit spent, so I backed down on the tempo. Doing no more than 3.5 Watts/kg most of the way. For the last 30 seconds or so, I think I was doing more than 4 watts/kg. After that was the descent. Mostly soft pedaling at 2 watts/kg. I reached the base and was doing more or less the same. I was out of the saddle on the short risers. I put in a modest dig in the sprint section. From there it was to the start/finish. I'm not sure what my time was with respect to previous rides. I logged in another 1.5 miles to cool down. Concentration was reasonably good. It took a while for the focus to settle in. Few lapses. No gremlins. Ailments, next to none. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked great. Other notes, there were about 1100 riders today.
