This was the last ride leading up to the 2025 Spooktacular 50 Mi ride. The weather is slightly cool. It's in the low 60's, winds from the North West. I took it from the stand point of what I would need to wear on the Spooktacular ride. I guessed it pretty good. I wore double arms, knees, head cap, doulbe socks, and one sheet of newspaper in the jersey. That kept me plenty warm without going overly so. The legs were a bit heavy to start, but got better. This ride was mostly to test out the gear and see if the body was going to do something. Everything checked out, but the rear brake needs to be bled. I hope I don't have to do the same thing for the front, but I am prepared to do so. I have all the tools. The GPS took a bit of figuring out how to get the announcements going. It eventually worked. I have to remember that I can swipe the screen to toggle between the different metrics and overhead map view. The tires feel good and the bike is whisper quiet.
Other notes, I saw only walkers today.
Other notes. I felt no ailments worth mentioning on today's quick ride. My concentration feels good. Balance is good. The gut feels ok. Now I have to do the remaining preparations for the weekend's ride. So far, so good.
