The cold has let up just a bit. I got out later than I anticipated. I was reluctant to get out, but managed to convince myself to go. I wore the standard winter kit with knee warmers and short finger gloves. The legs felt pretty good to start. The wind was from the South East. For this ride, it didn't really matter. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. The Banducci Wall had minimal traffic mitigation, so I was able to concentrate on the task at hand. I was near max going over the top. After making it to the Arosa climb, I was able to relax a bit. The miles went quick. I was passing landmarks before I knew it. The morale felt better after making it to the speed bumps. I was near or at max going over the top. I made my way around the backside. I had fun on the descent, reaching 41 MPH. After exiting the Alpine Forest, I headed to the top of Banudcci. I took but a few moments to recover, let traffic by, and then headed back down the mountain. It was mostly safe with minimal traffic from behind. The descent off the Banducci Wall was playing it safe. I soft pedaled while feathering the brakes. After making it to OTR for the descent, it was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and the dig to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. Minimal lapses, no gremlins, my patience was in check and the morale got better as the ride progressed. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana and some grapes for breakfast. I had the other half of the banana before departing. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, no cyclists today. There was a familiar walker as I was making my way to OTR on the out.
