60’s sunny, side winds and head winds going out ranging from 20-50+ mph. Not Santa Ana Conditions but just as strong!
Goal was to stay between 91 and 147 watts. Did ok on the way out as I knew the wind would make it a lot easier to push on the pedals with consistent force. Outbound was dog legged slow speed wise to stay within the watts goals.
Coming back I kind of stomped on it a bit. I can never waste a good tail wind! 25 to 32 80% of the way back.
Almost hit a construction truck driving down the full width of the trail in a curve just before exiting to Jurupa while at 28 mph and diving into a right handed curve.
Had to lean my shoulders to the right of my center of gravity to keep from hitting his drivers side mirror and still had to drop off the asphalt onto the dirt then bunny hop back on next to the bed of the truck. He should have had his flashing lights on and tooting his horn as he approached and traversed that curve to warn cyclists.
All is though… used the rest of the ride on home to cool down.
Data indicates I hit my power output targeted average.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
