Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Great weather today. The wind was from the north and the temperature was around 70ish and blue skies. I started out modest. My legs felt average and got better as the ride progressed. I was sufficiently warmed up by the time I reached Route 202 and more so, when I reached the top of the 1 mile climb going out to Willow Springs. I did modest tempo with some greater efforts as I made my way to Willow Springs. The return trip was done in slightly higher tempo. I made a good push over the summit of Highline and kept my momentum going until the road pitched down. My body felt good the entire ride. Concentration was good. Balance was somewhat mixed, but mostly spot on. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness and sore palms on a few occasions. Gear is working well, my bike is starting to complain again, squeeking upon out of saddle efforts. I think a bit of tinkering will resolve that issue. Other notes, the Charity App worked well today. I started the app right out the door, in clear skies. Checked it on a two occasions. One at the start of Highline, and the other time at Willow Springs. I'm not 100% convinced that stopping and checking the app to make sure it was working helped. But past rides indicate that if the app is left unchecked, normally it does not record the metrics at all.
