9/10/14 Sunday. Just John Hare and me for the long ride, in spite of it being such a nice day.
I take the lead to begin with, through Denham Village then up along Tilehouse Lane. Just past the A412 spur, we turn left up Long Lane then along a track through Heronsgate to elevenses at Ozzy's cafe at Little Chalfont.
Unsure of where to go from here, and as it is already past midday, we head for Amersham and lunch at Master Chef, I don't think coffee and lunch stops have been so close together (two miles).
After lunch John takes the lead and we head down hill to Amersham Old Town. Along the A413 we turn left towards Little Missenden and climb a couple of hundred feet to Holmer Green. Near Penn Wood, I am flagged down by a motorist trying to find Penn Bottom. "Turn your car around and head down the hill", I say. He then hands me his phone and asks me to give a lady directions. With John out of sight and a feeling of impending complications, I politely request that he tell her exactly what I've told him and pedal off at some speed. Near Penn Bottom I encounter John heading back up the hill to find me. We resume our journey past Luckings Farm, and Chalfont St Giles. At Chalfont St Peter, John checks out Budgens, but it looks as if the cafe is closed, so we have refreshments at nearby Crumbs.
We then cycle through Chalfont Park before rejoining the A413 and heading towards Tatling End and Denham etc. A lovely warm October day.
All the best...............Bernie

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
