Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was quite possibly the worse ride this year. I had lab today. When I got back I had breakfast and took a quick 1 hour nap. About 15 minutes before getting up, I was having stomach cramps. I did what I could to mitigate the problem, in the hopes that I could get in a good ride. Unfortunately that was not the case. When I started the ride, my stomach was sore, but not that bad. After about 10 minutes, it started to get worse. I decided to go to the end of OTR to see how I felt. On my way there, it started to get better, but when I got to Route 202, the cramps persisted. I decided to continue to the top of Highline. It was too much for me to bear, so I turned around. On the way back, I decided to do Banducci, as it is a quick climb and I wanted to salvage what I could. I was in pain for a good part of the climb. After summiting and on the return trip, the cramps persisted. I was near my limit of what I could tolerate. I was having to really concentrate away from the pain as much as I could. In the end, I made it in one piece, but that was by no means an acceptable ride. Concentration, pretty much out the door. I was doing everything else to not think about my pains. Balance was the greater of the ride. Ailments. Of course, mostly abdominal cramps. Some right hand numbness. Gear is working well. Other notes. I'm trying to think what I could have done, shy of not riding at all. Perhaps I should have taken some milk of magnesia and rested some more. I'm not sure if that would have helped. Otherwise postponing the ride till the next ride would have been the other option.
