Today turned out to be an interesting ride. The weather was cold enough to wear one base layer, arms, and knees. My body felt responsive for most of the ride. I knew how I wanted to pace the ride given the wind conditions. From the North/West. I did moderate tempo the entire way out and back from Highline. The weather remained cool enough to keep all of my layers on. Concentration... the lesser of all things. I was fighting the crazies on most of the ride. But I managed to pull it together and make it home as best I could. Ailments felt next to none, just the usual exhaustion from the effort. Balance was real good today. While fighting off the crazies, I was just working on balance, trying to keep my mind busy and focused. Gear is working well today. No problems there. The charity app continues to work, but with some help. I had to check it twice, once on the beginning leg of Highline and the next when I was at Willow Springs. I think it tracked my distance within 1.5 miles discrepancy. Other notes, there were 2 dogs doing their usual territorial thing. One of them managed to get out of the fence and started to approach me. Fortunately, he wasn't in a biting mood, or perhaps I was just too quick!
