Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I tried to get up a bit earlier today. I managed to do so by 15 minutes or so. I skipped my morning nap after getting up. The weather is nice. It's supposed to rain later today. Winds from the North West. In the low 50's. I wore the standard winter kit. Arms, legs, head cap, thin base layer, jacket, short gloves. That held me over plenty without having to remove layers during the ride. The legs felt ok to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was doing out of the saddle efforts most of the way up. I recovered on the flat segment and then completed the climb. After reaching the summit, I took a few moments to recover. I made it there in average time. I let traffic by and headed down the mountain. It was safe. No traffic from behind and minimal on-coming traffic. The trip to SS was steady tempo. No heroics. I was going into a headwind. I made my way around the backside and the the descent into town. I put in a good sprint. I stopped at the local park to bio. Then I got back on the road. I passed the tunnel in about 1:08 hours. Slightly delayed by the wind conditions. I stopped at the local mini mart and mixed a sport drink. Then I got back on the road. I did steady tempo through the farmlands. I had a tailwind or cross-tail most of the way back. The last climb was steady tempo doing in and out of the saddle efforts. I kept my momentum going over the top. After making it to the summit, I pulled over to feed. I fed a Clif Bar with some water. Shortly after, I got back on the road after swapping the GoPro battery in the camera. Route 202 had traffic mitigation. I had to let a car go by as I was entering the intersection to OTR. Descending OTR was fun. There was traffic from behind that couldn't pass safely, so I put the power down. A good excuse to go at race pace. I pushed over Mariposa and then back home. I shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. I had minimal lapses. Patience was in check. I had stuff to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. My legs were getting sore towards the last part of the ride. No cramping or seizing, though. I had sore hands here and there. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana and a grape or two for breakfast before departing. I fed a Clif Bar with water during the ride. I went through almost 2 bottles of sport drinks. Gear worked flawlessly. The bike is riding nice and quiet. Other notes, I saw about 5 cyclists today.
