I had lab in the morning. They predicted a high of 90 degrees. I got back around 9AM. It looked like the hot weather was going to hold up, so I decided to go outdoors. After finishing breakfast, I got suited up and headed out. It was around 80 degrees, winds from the South East. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. I decided to add the Banducci Summit. But first, I did the Buffalo Run. I had a headwind on the way out. After zipping around the Buffalo neighborhood, I headed back on Highline and then up the Banducci Wall. It has some traffic mitigation, but not so bad. I recovered on the flat segment and then compeleted the climb by making my way to the top of Banducci. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. It was safe. No cars from behind. I think the wind was a bit turbulent in this area. Descending off the Banducci Wall was safe. I had a headwind that kept my speed in check. Then I made my way to OTR. Descending off OTR was relaxing. I pushed over Mariposa and then to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration as good. I had stuff to think about. The morale was pretty good. No gremlins worth mentioning. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just a bit of hand soreness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana and some grapes for breakfast before departing. Gear worked flawlessly. Although, the GoPro gave up without me knowing. I noticed it was turned off when I made it back home. More investigating on that later. Other notes, I saw a familiar recumbent cyclist.
