Alright. Today was my first day back on the bike since I got sick. The weather was cold. Winds from the North. I wore 2 base layers, arms, knees, cap, long finger gloves, and face mask. I judged that to perfection as I was never too hot or too cold. My right knee has been sore since I was sick. I wasn't sure what it was going to feel like on the ride. Turns out that it felt real good. Almost no pains. There's something about walking that's different than cycling. I think it's the weight baring on the knee when I walk. My body felt good. I could tell that I'm near 100% recovered from having a cold. I made it to the end of OTR in just over 20 minutes, so that was a good average time. The wind was near perfectly east when I got to highline. I put in good tempo for most of the way out. The return trip was done with moderate tempo, out of the saddle when necessary. I felt comfortable through out the whole ride with almost no ailments. My concentration was good, in the zone for the most part. Balance was good. Gear is working well. I had the live action and Charity apps running on my smartphone, and it wore the battery down by about 10%. That's much less than I anticipated. Either way, I plan on buying a charging cover and I hope this will be good for rides lasting longer than 4 to 7 hours.
