Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was unusual. The wind was turbulent and had pockets of undisturbed air. For the most part, the wind was from the south. I think the temperature was in the low 50's / high 40's. When I did my usual out the backdoor survey, it felt like it was colder than it actually was. I ended up wearing 2 base layers, arms, knees, cap and face mask, long gloves. As it was, I overdressed. I could have gone with 1 base layer, no mask. My legs felt ok from the beginning, probably average. I took it easy today, I had no intentions of doing high tempo at any point. The wind was unpredictable on OTR and Highline. There were pockets of still air and then there were head and cross-winds. If it weren't for the wind, I would have likely overheated. I was tempted to take off my skull cap, but decided to keep it on. Either way, I don't think it would have mattered. In terms of the ride itself, I was able to maintain a steady, moderate tempo, well within my limits. Concentration was good for the most part, some lapses here and there. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness. Balance was ok, but I had to constantly adjust due to the wind conditions. Gear is working well. No problems. My smartphone started at near 100% and ended at about 66%. I'm thinking about buying an extra battery that can be inserted into the smartphone's USB port in order to give it some extra run-time. The cycling computer worked great, no signs of premature depletion of the battery. Other notes, I visited the local donkey on OTR. I could tell he was looking for some carrots. Perhaps next time.
