I started out to do a somewhat easy shorter ride. Once I got out on the road I wasn't what route to do. I had been talking about a route so I decide to it, once I was on the route I decide to do a part of one of my oldies but goodies ride! Going this direction was going to take me longer than I intended but not too much longer. Then I got this idea, since I'm out this far wouldn't it be great to do my longest ride this year? It's such a nice and ideal night< hadn't started to hurt much by this point... All my Riding buddies had been crushing it, "why not me in my own way?" I thought. On my way I go, I figured as long as I just kept the effort I was putting out, it should be very doable... So 50 miles it will be! I got to my turn back home and I noticed I would be short by 3 miles, so I made slight detour of 1.5 miles down and back. At this point I had 20 miles to get home, My left outer thigh, started to ache, had no clue why? It ached the rest of the ride. After the ride looking at my power output, for the first time all year my left leg was putting out more power than the right! The last 10 miles was tough as my legs got very tired and started to cramp up some. I was so happy to turn off the main road to my home, knowing I was done and not a minute to soon... AS soon as opened the gate my legs, arms and back all cramped up and could barely move! It didn't matter I was finished with a big smile, what an adventure... Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
