Today was my last single ride, until the TGF. I got out early, no napping in the morning. I had a bagel with 3 eggs. The weather was a bit chilly. In the low 50's. I ended up wearing arms and knees. I made the right decision. When I got out, about the time I was towards the end of the street, I realized that I forgot to take a Kind Bar. I wanted to see how it goes down while riding. I had a PowerBar, though. So, then I put in my mind, to see how long will it take before I get hungry, if at all. Turns out that I had sufficient reserves with just my Accelerade. The ride went as planned. I kept the tempo nice and steady. Mostly below 140 BPM. No red-lining. Including the Banudcci wall. The body responded well. Perhaps a hint of tenderness in the lower legs. Hardly worth noting. The knees feel pretty good. Perhaps some tenderness. I was practicing stretching. I also brought along my Walkman for the first time in a while. It's nice to have the earphones. But, I think I like the mini-speaker better. As for the TGF, I'm guessing that I should bring the Walkman, as not to annoy others with my choice of music. The bike and gear worked prefect. So, no changes, from here on forward. I have PowerBars and inner tubes along the way. I've been having bad luck with punctures and blow-outs. Fortunately, none of which were on a ride.
