It was in the mid 40's today, so I had to wear 2 base layers, arms, knees, skull cap, and face mask. The wind was from the north. My body was a bit sore from the previous day's strength training. In particular, my legs. From the start of the ride, I felt average, but I think I got better as the ride progressed. I made it to Route 202 in good time. On Highline, the wind was more of a cross-tail. I kept the pace moderate, but not any less. When I reached Willow Springs, I started with modest pace and picked it up as I made my way back to Route 202. I made a dig over the last couple of risers and pushed a bit over the last 1/4 mile on Highline. The remainder of the ride was mostly fun and games. I kept my momentum up and got out of the saddle when needed. My concentration was good. I was in the zone for the most part. There were hints of gremlins here and there, but it never manifested to anything detracting of the ride. Balance was good. I moved my headlight on the under side of the tops of my handle bar. This allowed me to move my hands closer to the center. I was able to get a better balance in this position. Ailments were close to none. Just some hand soreness, nothing more. Gear is working well. All apps worked flawless. I have to clean out my drive train (reminding myself).
Other notes: There was one other cyclist out on Highline. Something I wasn't expecting. Highline, was for the most part lacking in traffic. It felt nice and safe.
